No need to search elsewhere- if you are looking for the perfect French country house experience in Provence, this is it! Situated literally in the middle of the vineyards, this beautifully restored farmhouse has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You will wake up in a giant second floor pure white bedroom with double windows opening onto a view of the palm tree and the garden below with the sound of a trickling fountain in the pond- Matisse would be jealous. If you enjoy cooking, the surrounding area is full of great open markets, (not to mention your own orchard of peaches, apricots, apples, pears, etc.). And if you'd rather leave the preparation to someone else, there are countless charming restaurants of every level within a short driving distance. If you are in the mood to just be lazy, the garden is the best place you could ask for (as nice as the inside of the house is, we spent most of our time there), and if you energy is up to explore nature or historical villages, great possibilities are all around you. Make sure you give yourself enough time for your stay- after three weeks we wished we had taken more!

Just like we pictured it! Figs, Grapes. Pears, Apples, Walnuts ready to pick and eat. An undisturbed view over vines and olive trees. The secluded and rustic house with real "Mas" look and feel was a delight both for inside and outside living.

Even if the House is well hidden it was close to villages, markets and wine tastings. We particularly liked the village of Sarrians with it's bakery, boucher and café. The market we liked most was the one in Vaison-la-Romaine.

We had two wonderful September weeks with easy living that will help us endure the coming Scandinavian winter with a smile."

My husband and I fell immediately in love with this authentic, charming and unspoiled 'Mas'. The interior is spacious and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, the olive trees, the scent of lavender and thyme, the terrace with it's pergola overgrown with grapes and wisteria, the hammock for a well-deserved siesta after lunch, the stone basin for a quick cool-off -- and the view, of course.
How did our typical days look like? Waking up, opening the bedroom window overseeing the vineyards, buying fresh almond croissants from the village, sipping on a 'café au lait”, shopping for fruit and vegetables, or yummy goat cheese, chasing antiquities on a 'brocante', tasting wine, etc. When in a more sportive mood we went jogging, biking, swimming or for a long hike in the mountains.
The days went by so quickly. The evenings were long and memorable; we grilled fish or meat on the BBQ, sipped from a newly discovered wine or the fruity 'Beaumes de Venise' Muscat wine, listened to music or simply to the enchanting sound of the cicadas, or enjoyed the black starry sky. We will definitely be back!

This house was exactly what we hoped it would be. It is a beautiful house in a gorgeous setting, Serene, secluded, quiet, comfortable, and full of charm and rustic character… It was nice to see the Mount Ventoux through the olive grove and the Dentelles out the back window…The garden was our favorite place while at the house. The neatly manicured lawn and plantings with the vineyard right next door and the lovely views in the distance gave us hours of relaxation… The stone basin dip pool was a great place to cool off on a hot day and the sound of the water bubbling into the pool was pleasant background music during our time in the garden.

This property is all the things one imagines Provence to be. A charming house, from the pale green shutters to the plunge pool. Well decorated, comfortable; a place to relax. My favorite aspect is the landscape; olive groves and vineyards surround the house; lavender scents the air and, if in season, one can eat cherries right off the trees. Sublime!

Now this is Provence at its finest! Our family (2 adults and 2 young boys) spent 3 glorious weeks here submerging ourselves in all things Provence.
From waking to the sun gleaming off the vines to exploring the fabulous (and not over-touristed) villages of the Haute Vaucluse to cooling off in the dipping pool and playing a rousing game of family soccer on the enchanting lawn to relaxing with my wife after the kids were asleep over a fresh cooked meal and a newly opened bottle of rosé as we re-connected under the grape-laden terrace surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped setting, it was sheer paradise.

We just wanted to thank you and your wife for letting us stay at your beautiful home in Beaumes de Venise. We had a great time. The place was very relaxing and accommodating. We enjoyed the grapes and the fruit. We visited many of the local towns, including Vaison-d' Romaine, Orange, Carpentras, Aix, St. Remy, Les Baux, etc. and spent a few days in Cannes and Nice.

Nancy and Pierre Loewe.

We had a wonderful week at your house near Beaumes de Venise with very pleasant weather. The space worked well for us because of its number of bedroom/bath suites. And the house has one of the best-equipped kitchens I've seen in any rental.

Thank you.

We had a wonderful time at Les Seyrels, enjoying your pretty house and its beautiful setting. We also appreciated your being available by phone to answer questions, most notably, about the location of the keys.

Perhaps in part because Washington has had something like 21 days straight with rain, I've already given two people the Internet link to information about the house. And made many others envious with my glowing descriptions of our stay.
