When we first saw this apartment, it was old and stuffy. It was a real challenge to turn it into something special, but we knew that it had lots of potential. After months of hard work, using some of the existing elements and antique pieces from Brussels and Paris, we managed to turn it into an astonishing place. |

A spacious, quiet retreat from the bustle of Paris. The polished wood floors, 20 feet high ceilings, glassed-in roof, and small balconies overlooking the rooftops of Paris make this loft the perfect spot from which to experience Parisian life. Located a block away from the rue Cler, one of Paris's most celebrated open-air food markets, and the Champ de Mars park, home to the Eiffel tower.
Ideal for five people, the comfortable living room couch folds out to sleep two more. Downstairs are the large living/dining area, two bedrooms, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, and one full bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a decorative Art Nouveau fireplace and an en-suite shower. The second bedroom has three single beds, two of which can be assembled to create a double sleeping space. On the mezzanine level there is an office area with a desk and a charming view. Windows in all the rooms and the "verrière" (skylight) ensure that the apartment is always light-filled and welcoming.
85 square meters (915 square feet), fifth and sixth floor (6th and 7th US), accessible by small elevator.
Closest metro station: Ecole Militaire (one block away). Pets not allowed, and no smoking, please.

- Bedrooms/Baths: The master bedroom is independent and has its own en suite shower and a king size bed. There are plenty of closets. The second, large bedroom is on the other side of the apartment, and has three single beds. The bathroom is close to the main entrance and has a bathtub with a shower hose and a toilet. A sofa bed, or convertible couch, can open to sleep two more people.

The 7th arrondissement is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris. It is bordered by the Seine River on the north, and it is located on the Left Bank. For the most part, this arrondissement comprises expensive residential neighborhoods and official buildings (ministries etc....).
Important places include: The French National Assembly, the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars, École Militaire, the Invalides, all of which are within short walking distance from this apartment. Also, within walking distance, you'll find the Quai de Branly, Quai d'Orsay and Rodin museums.
Immediate vicinity
Rue Cler market street: Although the Breteuil open air market on the avenue de Saxe, with its amazing view of the Eiffel Tower, and only a few minutes away from this apartment, is probably best suited for fresh produce shopping (open Thursdays and Saturdays until 1pm), the market on rue Cler (only a block away, open daily, except Monday), a cobbled pedestrian street lined with its chic shops and cafés, is definitely the more animated one. If you wish to learn the fine art of living Parisian-style, Rue Cler provides an excellent classroom (by Rick Steves, "Rue Cler: The Art of Parisian Living").
The Champ de Mars park, and the Eiffel Tower: a great place to relax or organize a picnic with family and friends, or for jogging.

Art Nouveau style, built in 1900 by architect Octave Raquin.
Name of building: Les Arums (the lilies). This flower is engraved all over the building façade and on the main hall floor mosaic, which is protected by the city of Paris and the Monuments de Paris (French historical monument society).
The façade of the building actually won a prize at the Concours de Façades (Façade competition) in 1902.

Does the large skylight in the living room have a curtain?
No. However, large windows in the living room have thick curtains to block the light. But there cannot be complete darkness, if that is what you are used to.
Is there a hair dryer in the apartment?
All of our apartments are equipped with a hair dryer.
Is this a quiet apartment?
It is extremely quiet.
Is there a view of the Eiffel Tower?
There is a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower from the mezzanine of the apartment. We put an armchair, a reading light and a table for you to enjoy the view.
